About Me

My name is Mariamor. My family is from Guatemala and Honduras.

I am a Postpartum Doula, Folk Herbalist and Abortion Doula.

I have been studying under the Yucatec Maya lineage of Miss Beatrice Waight, through Ann Drucker (learn more here). Thanks to this lineage, I have found my way home to myself and the plants. We work with our benevolent helping spirits, the plants, prayers, and elements to find deep healing. I am deeply grateful and honored to be connected to this lineage and its teachings.

In any way you choose to work with me you can expect me to show up with plants in one way or another (tinctures, teas, herbal baths, herbal treats, etc). It’s just the way I move through the world now and I’m so grateful for that. The plants can help us in so many ways (emotional, spiritual, physical, etc). I would be honored to help guide your connection to them through a class, session, or my doula work.

I studied Psychology and Film at UC Santa Cruz, then went on to study Childhood Development (ECE) through Cabrillo College where I spent time in the preschool, toddler and infant classrooms. From there I pursued nannying and found my way to postpartum care (tending of the family, especially mama and baby during the early months of postpartum). I moved to Colorado in 2019 with my husband and I began to find my way to the plants.

Amidst trying to heal from childhood trauma, anxiety, and other health issues I would often find my way to googling remedies and learning about herbs. I finally got to meet some of these allies in person in Colorado! I began taking classes in folk & spiritual herbalism from local teachers and apothecaries. When the pandemic hit I had extra time to truly begin to connect to plants and their spirits. Now I feel deeply called to share this connection with others through classes, sessions and my doula work.

I truly feel that the plants have guided me on my path. They’ve supported my healing in ways I could have never imagined. They’ve brought me deep nourishment and joy. They bring me back into my spirit when I get lost.

In my classes I hope to bring forth that connection to the plants and to help us delight in & with them,

In my healing sessions and ceremonies, I call on the plants to help move the blockages and energies getting in the way of the client’s healings. This helps us come home to our true authentic selves.

In my doula work, I work with the plants to help nourish the clients and care for them.

Thank you for your interest. Feel free to reach out to see if we’d be a good fit.
